Director of Women's Wellness, Irene Lane

My qualifications as Director of the Women's Wellness program do not come
from formal education, but from true life experiences.

I was introduced to Patternology shortly after I became a Realtor. Initially, my
purpose with using Patternology was to remove blocks to help me move forward
in real estate. What I didn't realize when I started was the intense emotional
pain I was in. One of my sons was struck with a mental illness in 1993. I thought
that I had dealt with the fact that my son had a very difficult incurable disease
with little hope of him ever living a "normal" life. He was about to graduate
from high school and his dreams of joining the military were shattered forever.
This was a devastating time for me. As I mentioned, I thought I was handling it
well until I had my first session of Patternology. The emotional pain that came
up was so very intense. After my first session, I could speak about the illness
more freely without sobbing.

As a single parent for 18 years raising 3 wonderful children, I went through all of
the trials and tribulations that one goes through as a parent, single or not. I
experienced uncertainty regarding my career path, and didn't know, what was
my purpose in life? I have dealt with menopause and maturing (all right, just
getting down right old!). I've had aging parents and have seen the difficulty
they experience doing all the things they once did with ease. I have been
divorced and have gotten remarried...and then dealing with two families
merging together, with different ideas of family roles. Sharing expenses and
money management. Death of family members and friends. Dealing with
children who have incurable illnesses. Relatives with incurable illnesses, such as
fibromyalgia, paralysis, scleroderma, and diabetes. Patternology has helped me
through all of this.

In my professional life, I have worked as a Realtor and in sales and business
development with a title company.

I am happily married to Ted Lane, and I have eight children and thirteen
grandchildren.
